Films Without Borders

In the summer of 2013, Films Without Borders (FWB) came to the Gisimba Memorial Centre, where I was living.  We were so many kids interested in films and they needed only a few of us so they had to choose randomly by having the kids pick small folded papers with numbers written on them. If you didn't have a number, you missed this chance. I was so lucky to pick the final number and receive the final spot. I believe that people have certain chances in their lives and that they must make the most of the ones they get. For me, this was that chance. I was lucky but I also knew I must work hard.

I was so lucky to get to work with Jill Samuels on a documentary she was shooting in Kigali in the summer of 2013. She also helped me to intern on the set of London Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler in London from February to March of 2015. While I was in London, I had the honor of attending a special restrospective for FWB at St. James Place hosted by The HRH Prince Edward and Q&A with Dame Judi Dench.
